Frequently Asked Questions

GENERAL

What is MUKA?

We are a beauty startup based in European Union.
We believe that mani should be easy: easy for you (incredibly simple application), and easy for your nails (unprecedented gentleness)!
So we decided to say goodbye to solvents and other harsh chemicals on your nails. Say hello to a nail-friendly manicure!

What do you sell? What does “Soft Anatomic Nails” mean?

MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails are nail stickers (or nail wraps) made of a thin film with an adhesive layer on one side and a pattern design on the other. They are available in pre-cut sizes that cover the entire nail, replacing the polish completely. But MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails are unique because they are factory preshaped to match the curved anatomic, three-dimensional shape of the real nail plate.
In addition, the stickers are flexible, which allows them to fit perfectly to the nail without any effort or heating. The application is also much faster than any other manicure technique. The perfect fit means that the MUKA mani does not wrinkle, does not wave on the nail, and lasts much longer. The manicure itself is very aesthetic throughout the time.

PRODUCT DETAILS

What are MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails made out of?

They are made of a thin film with an adhesive layer on one side and a pattern design on the other. The adhesive layer is a solvent-less medical-grade component. It means it is safe for you, safe for your nails, and has no irritating smell. MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails are printed with a very thin layer of eco inks.

Where MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails are produced?

The startup and the manufacturing process are placed at the center of the European Union - in Poland. By purchasing our product, you can be sure that it meets the restrictive EU standards.

Why are MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails patented?

MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails are one of a kind. Unique anatomical shape, extremely easy application, and stunning effect all the time you wear a manicure - sounds simple? Yes, we think so too. But it took us some time to get to this effect. That's why we decided to protect our invention. If you purchase the same or very similar product elsewhere, someone is likely infringing our copyright.

Are MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails Safe?

No manufacturer can guarantee 100 percent safety of its product. However, our stickers are unique. Only the solvent-free, medical-grade, odorless adhesive layer comes into contact with the nail. What do you prefer? The adhesive in our product or solvents in traditional manicure products? :)

I am allergic to every kind of nail polish, can I use MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails?

At least you should try our MUKA nails! There is a good chance that you will finally be able to wear the manicure you want! MUKA stickers are free of solvents and irritants found in common manicure products like gels, acrylics, and even vegan and X-free nail polishes!! (All of those products you can easily recognize because of their unpleasant solvent smell.)
You must only bear in mind that if you have a very strong allergy, then you will not be able to protect your MUKA mani with a top coat.

Can I use MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails as nail protection?

MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails Stickers isolate the nail plate from harmful external factors. They prevent contact with substances that can damage or dry it.

Do MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails dry out?

Unlike nail strips and semi-cured gel strips, MUKA stickers do not contain solvents that evaporate. So you can use them whenever and however you want ... the whole package at once or individual stickers - even throughout the year!

MUKA COMPARED TO OTHER PRODUCTS

What is the difference between MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails and nail strips?

Huge! Nail strips are nail polish in the form of a sticker. This means that they contain solvents that can damage the nail plate and cause allergies - can you feel that solvent smell?? They are also much more delicate, which makes their application more difficult and there is a risk of damaging the sticker.
Nail strips are also not formed into anatomical shapes - they have to be stretched and formed on the nail.
Removing them requires the use of a solvent (e.g. acetone).
Because they have a solvent that evaporates over time, they must be used quickly after opening. You can use MUKA stickers freely and selectively up to 1 year from the date of purchase - even after opening the package.

What is the difference between MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails and Semi-Cured Gel strips?

Semi-cured gel Strips are flat. They need to be stretched and formed on the nail.
To harden formed strips, they require the use of a UV lamp. Researchers have conflicting opinions about the harmfulness of UV manicure lamps to health.

What is the difference between MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails and press-on nails?

MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails just like press-on nails are already shaped nails. The similarities end there.
Press-ons require the use of glue for tips (solvents again!) which can damage the nail plate. MUKA nails already have a solvent-less medical-grade adhesive layer.
Press-ons are stiff and muuuuch thicker than MUKA Nails. MUKA Nails are very thin and flexible - they do not leave a feeling of stiffness and the impression that you have some kind of alien on your nail ;) However, you need to know that MUKA Nails, unlike press-ons, will not extend your natural nails.

What is the difference between MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails and nail wraps / nail stickers?

Nail wraps / nail stickers are flat. They require stretching a flat surface on a convex, curved nail. Some manufacturers recommend using a special heat source or a heater to soften the sticker. Others recommend an application in a warm room... it always results in the same: the sticker tends to return to its original flat shape. Over time, wrinkles appear on the manicure and the sticker tends to peel off. The application itself is difficult and laborious.
In addition, most manufacturers of nail wraps / nail stickers do not provide information about the adhesive. We do not know if it is a substance intended for contact with the skin.

APPLICATION

How many MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails are on each sheet?

Every set of MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails consists of 2 sheets of Soft Anatomic Nails in 10 different sizes. It means you have got 20 Soft Nails to make a mani on 10 nails of your hands - pretty fair, isn't it?

How long do MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails last?

When applied to your MUKA Soft Nails nails correctly, you can expect them to last up to two weeks. Keep in mind, the more precise your application technique, the longer your nail stickers will last. It also depends on how you use your nails and whether you secured them with a top coat during application.

Whether heat is required during the application of MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails?

The application requires no heat at all! No source of heat, no special heater. MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails are pre-formed to the anatomical shape of the nail. If that's not enough - stickers are also flexible!

Which way of the MUKA Nail is up and which way is down?

Place the rounded edge of the MUKA Nail close to the cuticle. The triangle-shaped edge will be the section you file off.

Can I use MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails on gel or acrylic?

As long as the surface of your nail is smooth and without splits and bumps you can apply MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails over anything.

How do I apply MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails on gel or acrylic - is it any different?

You apply exactly the same way as for natural nails - including degreasing.

Is a top coat necessary?

Once you’re done putting on the MUKA Nails, apply a transparent top coat on it. This last step of application isn’t a requirement, but we recommend doing it for a shiny finish and improvement of the durability of your manicure.

Can I go swimming or take a long bath while wearing MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails?

Absolutely! The adhesive of MUKA Nail is waterproof and adapted to extended wear. If you do a lot of wet work with your nails we recommend sealing your mani with a top coat, gel coat, or transparent acrylic - also on the nail edges.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Why won’t my MUKA Nails stick to my nails?

Be sure to clean your nails thoroughly prior to application with an attached cleansing pad. Any oils (natural oils or lotions on the nails) will prevent the MUKA Nails from sticking. Also, if you've had a Japanese manicure recently, there's a risk that the MUKA Nails won't stick well.

Why my MUKA Nails are lifting at the edges?

This can happen if: your nails have not been cleaned enough before the application, you work with your hands veeeeeeery often, the top coat you have used dries too fast, if the sticker has not been capped around the edges with the top coat or a gel top coat or you put stickers on splitting or cracked nails.

REMOVAL

How do I remove my MUKA mani?

Just slowly and gently peel it off the nail, no polish remover is needed.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST…

I want to try MUKA Soft Anatomic Nails but I don't want to pay full price until I'm sure I love them. Do you provide samples?

Unfortunately, we do not provide samples. But if you want to try our product, we recommend patterns from the MUKA Collection. They are half the price of the other designs.

How can I be sure that the pattern I saw on the screen of my phone/computer will be exactly like what I get?

Each monitor may interpret colors slightly differently and slight shifts in patterns may occur.
However, you must know that we attach great importance to details and showing our product in the most realistic way.

Can I sell my own designs on LetsMUKA.com?
